Festival de Valdivia's Best Latin American Films from 1993 to 2013
Favs/dislikes: 2:0. In 2013, to celebrate 20 years of Chile's most important festival, programmers from other festivals from the region were asked to vote for the essential Latin American films of the period 1993-2013 to be screened at the festival. Resulting in the following list. Note that there was a restriction on the number of films from each country they could vote for, which made some acclaimed films from countries with very few film productions to stand higher in the final ranking (Hamaca Paraguaya from Paraguay, and Whisky from Uruguay for instance). This doesn't take away anything from these great films though. -
Fetish Engine's Top Porn Films of the 70s
Favs/dislikes: 3:0. Fetish Engine's selection of their favourite porn and erotica from the 1970s, along with those films they deem worthy of special mention. 'Daddy Knows Best' (1971) has an IMDb entry but does not return a search result on here. Therefore, it is not on the list. They are effusive in their praise of 'Deep Throat', but pick 'Beyond the Green Door' as their standout film for 1972. This list only includes their No. 1 of each year and titles explicitly highlighted in bullet-point form as honourable mentions. After some thought, I have left the Damiano classic off this list. -

Film Comment - Extended Readers' Poll Results: Best of the Decade
Favs/dislikes: 1:0. Like many decade-gazers, readers were in the mood for David Lynch (Mulholland Drive #1) and Wong Kar Wai (#2). The Oscar-winning surveillance drama The Lives of Others (#15) infiltrated the Top 25, along with Lost in Translation (#14). P.T. Anderson got a second nod (#17), as other early-decade favorites City of God (#18) and the Hobbits (#21, #23, #27) ganged up anew. In the March/April 2010 issue, we printed the Top 25; here are the Top 50. The numbers in parentheses indicate the films’ rankings in our 2009 Critics’ Poll and Decade Critics' Poll. For each ballot, a first-place choice was allotted 20 points, 19 for second, and so on. This is the list compiled by Film Comment of the highest scoring theatrically released films. -
