Anyone questioning the choice of "Saturday Night Fever" should read the review. It helps to understand.
Never thought I would have so many movies in common with Ebert. Although some of his choices are a little questionable: Saturday Night Fever?
Who will step into Ebert's shoes once he's gone? :(
He's pretty much the #1 critic in the world right now.
Ebert is the only critic out there that I even like. I don't agree with all of his reviews but he's a smart guy and a true fan of good films.
It doesn't try to be some essential movie list though, they're simply his favorites. I think Ebert is quite boring critic however, his blog is more interesting.
