@Hemanshu Even for today's standards, this movie's scope is beyond belief. You just don't see stuff like this anymore. It really shows that Earth is indeed the best set ever made. It should be used more often...
This movie begs repeat viewing...top notch cinema. Just imagine the scope of the movie looking at the time & place when it is made.

One my favorites, really long ,but it is rarely slow and always amazing!
Too long, but beautiful cinematography.
While the story has the pacing of a more attentive era, the cinematography, acting and music (and just about everything else) more than make up for any loss of attentiveness today's audiences may suffer.

This movie has one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever, and the cinematography is beyond compare. A must-see, even if only for the music and scenery!
