@fewvisiblescars I took away the opposite. It seems like Ford is criticizing history’s tendency to glorify the commanders and turn a blind eye to their stupidity, ignorance and bigotry, when the real heroes were the common soldiers doing their duty. 2 years 12 months ago -

Sorry, I just don't get it.. a glorification of stupidity, ignorance and bigotry? A film where the John Wayne character - in comparison- comes out as the reasonable one? 10 years ago -
