It's decent. More realistic than 2012, but if that bar was any lower you'd hit your head on it. Similar overall vibe, though more serious. Less disaster porn though, which was mildly disappointing. Overly predictable with exactly when individual bad things would happen. Disappointingly little variation in the kind of effects displayed given the disaster.
Those issues aside, it holds up alright. Worth watching if you like that sort of thing, but don't expect anything special. 3 years 5 months ago -

Sentimental dreck. Unlike 2012 there is no wider canvas on which this global drama unfolds, at least not in any meaningful visual sense; the film is too caught up in the insular, suffocating confines of the family unit. 3 years 3 months ago
