The original 1973 version is one of my favourite horror films of all time, because her revenge in the second half of the film was so completely gratifying.
Unfortunately, the second half of this film, the 2010 remake, didn't feel like it was about her revenge; it felt like it was about the rapists' punishment, and it wasn't gratifying at all.
Also, the fact that the film depicts amazingly depraved acts, yet features no full frontal nudity made it all feel a bit too stylised and out of touch with reality to me. 12 years 6 months ago -
