A wonderful science fiction film, about science, fictions, and definitely about ideas. The last twenty minutes is a particularly knotty exercise in duplication and duplicity, that any singular perspective can 'failsafe' backwards to snooker other perspectives into a kind of chaotic infinity, but the maddening, Russian Doll-esque complexity of the bigger picture is exactly the point the film's morality seeks to drive home. A perfect example of creating so much with so little, and refreshing in the way it gives the audience potentially more than they can handle.
