Ray Anselmo
A terrific noir with a complex plot and characters. I can see why it's James Ellroy's favorite film. 8/10
Also, in response to GrooveRemote: Heflin was born in 1908, so his character's high school hooping was in the late 1920s. Back then, not just in Indiana schools but at the professional and semipro levels, he could've easily played forward at just shy of six feet. John Beckman of the dominant 1920s Original Celtics pro squad was known as the "Babe Ruth of Basketball" - and he was a 5-10, 156-pound forward. 2 years 8 months ago
