Some additional footage that was shot during this reenactment, but was done from different angles by a different crew and were in no way part of the original film, has survived as well. The complete film, however, is lost.
Obviously this version misses the sharp edge of the original. However, Padilha understood the essence and did his best within the confinements he was likely bound to. Could have been better for sure, but also could have been much, much worse.
