This page shows you the list charts. By default, the movies are ordered by how many times they have been marked as a favorite. However, you can also sort by other information, such as the total number of times it has been marked as a dislike.

The Life Cinematic is a message board full of film enthusiasts. Members have a very diverse and unique taste in film. This resulted in this consensus list based on their individual top 100s.
The site is now defunct, but this list is a glimpse into what a wonderfully idiosyncratic and often mental place it was.
These are iCheckMovies' favorite horror films, calculated using this formula:
favorites / (checks+75)
This list includes horror shorts.
I used IMDb to determine which films are horror, so there might be some strange inclusions and omissions.

Includes only the movies that are "Highly Recommended" by They Shoot Pictures, Don't They?
"We classify 'highly recommended' films as being superb cinematic achievements. These films are either flawless or near-flawless entertainments and/or artistic triumphs that occupy a special place in our lives. This is our pantheon, it is our canon, call it what you like. These films shouldn't be missed."

"Beyond the Canon is essentially a greatest films poll, only without the greatest films. I challenged a number of dedicated film-lovers – critics, bloggers, filmmakers, IMDbers; professional, amateur, and in-between – to select up to 100 films that they believed to have been under-represented by film history, that meant more to them than the established, well-exposed classics." - Iain Stott, The One-Line Review
"This list of 1000 short films is compiled from various lists as well as my own list. Each has a 50% weight in Top 500. Since there are not enough data or lists for short films further, the second half (501-1000) is almost entirely based my own list (90%)."

Every five years or so the film fans at Criterionforum.org spend half a year discussing the films of a certain decade - viewing and reviewing classics, championing favorites, and highlighting overlooked/underrated films. At the end of the discussion period they each submit lists of their fifty favorite films from the decade, and those lists are then compiled into a top 100, as well as a list of "also-rans" (the films which received more than one vote, but not enough to make the top 100.) This list includes both the top 100 and the "also-rans."
These are the results of the poll conducted from July 2009-January 2010.
This is a weighted version of the iCM Most Favorite list, using the formula "favorites / (checks+50)", the same formula that the official list currently uses.
The official Most Favorite list is based on incorrect fav counts (due to a bug). This list uses accurate data from Dec 20 (from the beta site), so I'm posting this list as a temporary solution until the bug is fixed.
Edit: The bug was fixed on Jan 23, and as of Jan 26 the official list is based on accurate data. I will be keeping this list on iCM for historical purposes (so you can see what the list looked like in December 2011).
A list of 100 films directed by women (no more than one film per director) selected by the editorial staff of the magazine Little White Lies and published in July 2015.
Top 460 taken from onderhond.com, a website maintained by a dedicated film fanatic with a strong passion for contemporary genre films and a soft spot for Asian cinema.
This page contains the 189 films (to date) that we heartily-highly-recommend above all others. They are listed in the Recommended Viewing section as HR (highly recommended) along with 400-odd other films, but these are the ones we return to and cherish most often.
