In honor of the Motion Picture Editors Guild’s 75th anniversary in 2012, CineMontage, the Journal of the Motion Pictures Guild compiled a list of the 75 Best Edited Films –– as chosen by the Motion Pictures Editors Guild Members. The resulting list, appeared in the MAY-JUN 12 issue of CineMontage. Each submission contained up to 10 film titles for Best Edited Film, weighted in order of preference. Any feature-length film from any country in the world is eligible. And by “Best Edited,” we don’t just mean picture; take into consideration sound, music and mixing as well.
