French Connection II? Halloween III? The Lost World? I didn't realize anyone even LIKED those movies, let alone thought they were some of the 50 Best Sequels of all time!
The Lord of the Rings sequels don't count because they're part of a series, same with films such as Kill Bill, still doesn't excuse the omission of The Road Warrior or Bride of Frankenstein.
Uggh, Empire. I guess sequels didn't exist before 1974? And with, what, 2 exceptions they don't exist outside of English-language films? I think I'd vote for this as the worst and most useless Official list on the site.

If you go to the actual site, they explain that they consider LOTR and Kill Bill to be one whole and therefore do not count as sequels.badblokebob
Seems Empire updated the list back in August, hence why there are now 60. They've also renamed it "The Greatest Movie Sequels", which makes sense.AstonMartin
