The conditions are optimal for you to catch up on your queer cinema. We’ve come a ways in fifty years, from the self-loathing middle-aged men of The Boys In The Band to the peppy teens of Love, Simon. When it comes to the quality of the movie, rarely can anyone compete with South Koreans today. But that has not always been the case. It was only with the appearance of directors like Chan wook-Park, Kim-ki Duk, Kim Jee-woon and Bong Joon-ho that South Korean cinema actually started to flourish. South Korean directors are signing cult titles like Oldboy, Memories of Murder, and A Tale Of Two Sisters, but there are a number of others, somewhat lesser-known, that you might also like. We have singled out a series of humorous dramas, romantic stories, unpredictable crime thrillers, but also horror movies that could provoke similar emotions as the great Parasite. Film Junk's Top 20 Movies of the '00s

With 2010 now less than a month away, your friends here at Film Junk have decided to look back over the past decade in film, to separate the wheat from the chaff, and consider how it has all tied in with the rest of our cultural experience. To deduce our Top 20 Films of the Decade, Greg, Jay, Goon and I each came up with our own personal lists of favourite films, and then found as many as we could in common.
