Favs/dislikes: 10:0. Calculated using this formula: (favs / (checks+50)) ^ (1 / log(favorites)) This is a more mainstream version of the [url=https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/icheckmovies+-+most+favorite/]Most Favorite[/url] list, but the quality is much better than the "Most Checked" list. The idea is to make a list that's closer to the IMDb top 250, but based on iCM stats. The list is still based on ratio, which makes it possible for films like Seppuku and Idi i smotri to be near the top. KOFA's 100 Korean Films (1936-1996)
Favs/dislikes: 11:0. In 2006, the Korean Film Archive published a list of the top 100 Korean films made between 1936 and 1996, with a big focus on the golden age of Korean cinema (1955-1973). Ofuji Noburo Award for Best Animated Film
Favs/dislikes: 6:0. The Ōfuji Noburō Award is one of the awards at the Mainichi Film Concours, and it honor excellence in Japanese animation. In the 1980s, big budget films started to dominate the award. In 1989, they established the Animation Grand Award to reward big budget films, which allowed the Ōfuji Noburō Award to focus on lower budget independent films. Acclaimed Films from Around the World
Favs/dislikes: 22:0. For each country, I selected a maximum of 2 films, 1 film per director. Countries that no longer exist are listed by their current names. The films are listed alphabetically by country (see the [url=http://www.imdb.com/list/pdJOKYfXmys/]IMDb list[/url] to see which films are from which country). I did not use a formula to select the films, but my selections are mainly based on the following criteria: 1. Country-specific and region-specific critic polls. 2. Non-country-specific critic polls. 3. Various other lists. 4. Rotten Tomatoes scores and ratings. Note: Although the list has room for improvement, I lost interest, so I am not planning to update it. -

Gelencsér Gábor's Recommended Film List for Hungarian Film History
Favs/dislikes: 24:0. Gelencsér Gábor is a film professor at the Institute for Art Theory and Media Studies. He teaches courses in Hungarian film history, Czech and Slovak new wave, and film analysis. He created two lists, a [url=http://mmi.elte.hu/szabadbolcseszet/index.php?option=com_tanelem&id_tanelem=1254&tip=0]required film list[/url] (50 films) and a [url=http://mmi.elte.hu/szabadbolcseszet/index.php?option=com_tanelem&id_tanelem=1255&tip=0]recommended film list[/url] (100 films). All of the required films are included on the recommended film list. The list is in chronological order and ends in 1995.
