The criterias for being chosen for this list are listed below. - All movies must be released in year 2000, or later. - Feature films, documentaries, TV movies, mini series, movies released directly to video (or internet) and TV-episodes from anthology series, where the episodes are unrelated, are accepted. TV-series and short movies are not accepted. - All movies must be 45 minutes, or longer. - Adult movies are accepted. However, no adult movie could make it through Top 1.000 in 2021. The list is prepared on 31.01.2021. Movies I watched later are excluded. List is going to be updated annually. (In list order: Memento, Inception, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, The Prestige, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk) - Wes Anderson, Hirokazu Koreeda, Richard Linklater, Takashi Miike, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and Lars von Trier follow him with 7 representations each. - Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Bong Joon Ho each has 6 movies in this list, while Fatih Akin, Woody Allen, Pedro Almodóvar, Darren Aronofsky, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Coen Brothers, Alfonso Cuarón, David Fincher, Michael Haneke, Peter Jackson, James Mangold, Chan-wook Park, Steven Spielberg and Denis Villeneuve each has 5. Countries: - Movies from 58 different countries are chosen for the list. - For co-productions; the first country listed on IMDb is counted as the production country. - USA is the most time represented country with 338 movies. United Kingdom (105), France (73), Turkey* (63), Japan (39), Canada (31), Spain (29), Germany and South Korea (28) are coming behind USA respectively. *Turkey has a competitive advantage at this point, for being my home county, as I watched a very high number of Turkish movies. Genres*: - Drama (760), Comedy (250), Thriller (250), Crime (187) and Romance (166) are the most common genres in this list. - Adult (0), News (2), Western (12), Musical (19) and Sport (19) are the least common genres. * Genre information on IMDb is accepted as source. Release Years: - The list contains movies from 2000 to 2020. - 2004 seems to be the most succesful year with 74 entries. While 2002 (70), 2003 (63), 2007 (56) and 2008 (56) follows it respectively. Actors/Actresses: - More than 40.000 different actors and actresses appeared (including voice actors and archive footages) in these movies. - Arnold Montey acts in 29 movies from the list, according to IMDb. However he is not credited in any of them. - Brad Pitt (16), Cate Blanchett (13), Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Serkan Keskin (12) are the most time credited actors and actresses.
