Health and Driver's Ed films are staples of things like this. As an example, MST3K films would be in the category of this list and they would show stuff like this before the films. On the slim chance you have a group in your area that shows films like this, they also usually show stuff like this too.
It's still not clear what B-movies mean or I just can't see any criteria in this list. Low-budget but good movies? Bad movies that for some reason got cult status?
I don't care for the Indian lists but I realize that different people enjoy different things and by going outside your comfort zone, one can discover new things. I never would have never watched any of the Apu films but I'm glad to have seen them.
If one is into b-movies, or is interested in them, this is a decent place to start, which is the point of the site. Most of the lists aren't tailored to this section of films, so it's nice that the site has expanded it's offerings.
I also realize that some people out there will never accept a list like this and only be happy with foreign cinema and Criterion lists. It's a losing battle but it's always nice to see someone watched something outside their comfort zone and discovered something new they enjoyed.
I have misgivings about this being an official list. The category of "B-movies" sounded fun and interesting, but then when I actually scanned the titles, I find they're mostly bad monster movies and a weirdly large selection of childhood PSA shorts. I just don't think most of this stuff should be considered "essential viewing."
Timec - If you check what I've seen, I'm hardly a "anti-film-snob snobs". I appreciate all types of films and am willing to give everything a chance. I've just spent my fair share of time around those that are really into arthouse films and automatically dismiss anything that's anything close to being a b-movie, without knowing anything more about it.
Also a b-movie doesn't mean it's a bad movie, they're low budget films that wouldn't be the star film in a double feature.
I had a hard time absorbing this but it is not a list of bad movies. It is a list of good -- or lets say the best -- B-movies from the badmovies website. That confuses a little but I'd ignore the Badmovies.org sign as it has some really good films here. Have no prejudice.
I like lists that make pretentious film snobs cry. One day they might try and be willing to watch something outside of their comfort zone and discover something new.

Over concerns about the validity of the list, maybe the Drive-In Delirium list would be a better option for a 'bad movies' list?Public Enemy
