It looks like she posted the top 150 before she bought the book, so it's possible that she copied the list from somewhere else and hasn't corrected the mistakes yet. I'll email her and ask her about it.
@frbrown: Thanks. I added Adventures of Ganba and replaced 8th Man with Eitoman.
I think the 1977 for Space Battleship Yamato is probably a mistake. The list Niffiwan posted is a translation of a Japanese list. The Japanese list doesn't say the year, but it says the director was Matsumoto, who directed the TV series but not the movie. Also, at least one of the participants voted specifically for the TV series according to this page. I don't know about the other participants because not all of the ballots have been posted online.
Sometimes IMDb has separate entries for an anime and for its English dub, and this is the case for "8th Man". You have the dub on the list. Here is the original version http://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/eitoman/
@frbrown: I'll be keeping this list on iCM as a modified version of the list, because I prefer to have the most acclaimed short from each series rather than the first.

Very confusing. The top 150 posted on the Nishikata blog also gives the year as 1977, and the director as Toshio Masuda.

The source list gives the year 1977 for "Space Battleship Yamato", in which case it is not the TV series, but the movie
