Unbelievable this list is so popular. The comment beneath says it all really. It reads like a list made by high school children. Never heard of Reddit before coming here though, now I understand why...
people don't take the list seriously? oh just add like all the currently oscar nominated movies for best pictures. lolz now taking this list even less seriously, as if that were possible.
To defend the Reddit list as a pretty nice list in spite of some missing good movies and as a counter to people like john milton and HighCaliber.
It is an enjoyable list to watch. For people who are not interested in the history of Cinema and cannot place themselves in the timeframe of the 1920's - 1960's this is a good list.
Although iconic movies in historie are missing it is sometimes a real miss, and other times it is a releave. Movies like 12 Angry Men are a reall mis. Movies as Citizen Kane, All about Eve, City Lights, The General etc. are more boring than entertaining, and I'm glad you're able to see those kind of movies a lot less in the Reddit Top 250.
P.S: to OffThriceandTen, 12 Angry Men is at spot #69. Try to search better next time
Disliked. Not only because it includes movies such as The Dark Knight, Inception and Toy Story in its top ten (and don't get me wrong, they're movies I like) which is bad in its own right, but because the whole voting process is flawed; it's a pure popularity contest, a product of the hivemind.
Downvotes are the major problem, where (and frankly I don't know how big a problem it is, but I know it exists and like to think it is widespread) individuals downvote to the left and right. Titanic, for example, got downvoted into oblivion.
Two reedeming things though; Lost in Translation is on the list, and Fellowship of the Ring is ahead of Return of the King.
A nice list for people who think that there weren't made any good movies prior to their birth (or a few years before that) or outside the US or outside mainstream.
I hope all those people move from IMdB to Reddit.

From the source link: "This is an archived post. You won't be able to vote or comment."I wonder how to update the list. I think this list does not belong to reddit community.
