Batman Begins, a film considered hugely overrated now almost forgotten due to it's sequel's success. Though the dialogue is pompous, its ideas outweigh it's flaws. The music, the concept of how fear can make or break man, and even Katie Holmes are so attractive to general beauty of the work. I actually prefer it over the action packed Dark Knight.

I watched Batman Begins and Dark Knight back-to-back a few weeks ago in preparation for Rises. If you ask me, the two films work so much better as a whole, which is very rare for films in a series, even Star Wars doesn't quite accomplish the same cohesiveness. In Begins we see the creation of Batman and his motivations, which is logically followed by him facing a villain (who arguably was created as a result of Batman’s existence) that he can’t defeat (an unstoppable force, Joker, and an immovable object, Batman). Very, very, very interested to see how Rises will fit into it all and conclude one of cinema's most ambitious trilogies.

Great film, with a great message about fear and identity. This is no Dark Knight, but it made me appreciate the sequel even more, as a lot of stuff is set up here rather subtly.

I think TDK is the most overrated one in the trilogy not Batman Begins. People give too much credits that movie than it earned with emotional reasons. I doubt it could get the same level attention if Heath Ledger would be still alive. I still think Batman Begins is better than the other two.
