Interesting as a document of Samoa in the 1920s with some great cinematography capturing choice moments, the tattooing stands out. The audio track created by the Flahertys' daughter in the 70s is also very well done. The "narrative" leads a lot to be desired though, and the honesty of the film is hard-pressed considering the notorious staging of Nanook of the North made 4 years prior. 1 month 3 weeks ago
