A sincere effort that looks and sounds as good as the original (28 Days Later), but is sadly much more straightforward. The Americans show up in deserted London, and it's like they bring their Hollywood clichés and special effects with them. I don't mean to be too down on it, since there are good things here, but it left me a bit empty considering how much 28 Days had to say.
A few (very few) cool scenes but overall boring and makes no sense at all. I couldn't care less about the characters and i just hoped they would all fucking die so it would give it a good ending, but no the ending sucked too. The original is way better.
Not bad, not great. There's some pretty cool scenes in the film, but the first part is confusing with regards to the way the characters behave, and then after that it's a standard zombie-chase scenario. Worth a look, not much more.
Despite being in the zombie genre, 28 Days Later was a highly influential, stunning, and surprising film. It examined the psyche of the survivors, created a well-rounded cast, and had one of the most memorable scenes I've ever witnessed in film.
To show all that is wrong with 28 Weeks Later: within ten minutes, they replicate the same scene in the first film with none of the meaning, emotion, or reasoning besides "it worked in the first one." The new director they hired for this movie could have easily been Michael Bay.
Some good scenes. A really good soundtrack. Not your avarage horror movie, I just don't understand why brainless zombies pack together to hunt the healthy people. You would think they would kill eachother.....
Now I'm waiting for the sequel 28 months later.
great horror movie. not cheesy as most of zombie films. this movie tells the story (a nice, well written story) whitout falling in cliches or boring scenes. i think it's as good as 28 days later.
So here's my beef with this sequel: in the first film one of the main characters stated that the last thing they heard from the news was that New York City and Paris had become infected, yet in this film it is treated that it was only the British isles that had rates of infection . . . ? Also, quite interesting to watch while under quarantine during COVID.
amazing horror film don't listen to people who say it isn't a good sequel because it is lots of horror movies are let down by their sequels but in this case its not its got an amazing rush and it can be really scary. The only down thing as its not as a good plot as the first one but still an amazing film .

I agree with labooboo93. Every person in this movie was plain stupid even for horror film standards, and the plot holes were just to huge for me.Peeorpoo
Wow, fuck that ending.Maxahlia
I only have one problem. Why would they let people return to Britain so soon after such apocalyptic events? Otherwise I did enjoy the movie.St. Gloede
Not as competently done as the first, but still a good film. Many great ideas! Far from as great as the Boyle version though.abmannetje
