The scariest thing about this is that it spawned 8 sequels and a remake. It feels like The Happening-era Shyamalan and features "villains" that wouldn't survive a good spanking from a 9th grade babysitter. I will give it credit for truth in advertising, though - it does contain plenty of corn.

Blahshaw...the guy who played Issaic was 22 when he filmed that movie. He had Gary Coleman disease. Yes I know this reply is almost a year late.

Never watched these corn children, now I'm going to try to watch all 11.
There's a good amount of creepiness in this first entry. Ominous corn fields and fucked up looking children sell the vibe. Pacing is pretty poor though, especially with the awkward "epilogue"
