Another monumental work from one of the greatest film artists. I only watched this at home but can imagine how much more stunning this would undoubtedly be in a cinema.
Good to see Terrence Malick doing such a narrative, "straight" film again; not everybody could grasp his unsettled, vague work from 2011 on.
I thought A Hidden Life again captures Malick's incredible strength in cinematography while giving casual viewers a more thankful story to work with, a win-win situation. It's still 3 hours of injustice and martyrdom, though - beware.
Montage three hours long, you dont even see or feel anything, Malick confusing illustration with narrative.
