Repetition to an almost clinically depressive state of exhaustion. Well consider if you're going to watch this two-and-a-half-hour-rock of a movie; because its mood might stay with you for some time.

Alas, it's as more unwatchable as it is less good than Tarr's other works. I'd still love to watch another movie in this pace, though. He can't stop at this career-point :(

If you let this movie draw you in, you will enjoy one of the most amazing cinematographic and artistic experiences of your life.

I can only hope that some day this movie will attain its rightful place in movie history. It is my favourite movie ever.

What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: "The Turin Horse, this movie as you have seen it and have lived it, you will have to see it once more and innumerable times more' ... Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered him: 'You are a god and never have I heard anything more divine'?

If a painter were to tell a story this would be it. Amazing.

Not quite as good as Satantango, but I loved it!

The pictures are so beautiful, I really enjoy this type of movie. It's an incredible pleasure to watch. I prefer watching this over quite a bunch of movies that I consider to be better.

I wonder which movie beat this one as the Hungarian entry for the Oscars.

Finally! A film that answers the question, "What if Jeanne Dielman were an Italian peasant?"

I love this film. It's definitely not for everyone but if you love cinema and slow paced art then this should be a pleasure to view. I agree with ARUCARD about the music.

ARUCARD,
The music relates to the whole of the film: repetition, life, routine. A fine film for Béla Tarr to end with.
