I like both movies, the each have their own approach. VS had a little more drama and pop culture, but you make it look very black and white. Comparing these two movies is fun and interesting and not supposed to enrage you mate.
What did Vanilla Sky miss? I remember that I hated it. Even though the storyline is almost identical, I think I felt more for the main character here than in Vanilla Sky. Abre los ojos is a much better movie, but not perfect though. I think the explanation in the end ruins the mystery of it all, and leaves very little for the viewers own imagination.
