When I first saw this movie many many years ago I hated it. Then I saw it again a few years later and just disliked it. A few years later...I thought it was OK. About ten viewings spread over thirty years and its become one of my favorite bad movies. Why? I couldn't definitively say. With each viewing I discover new flaws and new aspects to like. Maybe I've changed or my way of viewing things have changed over the years?
Space hottie, Barbarella (Jane Fonda) has been sent on a mission to find scientist Duran Duran on a corrupt planet before he can build a highly powerful weapon to be used against the otherwise peaceful galaxy. This is a movie about outlandish costumes, bizarre characters, and surreal sets. A bong hit should be mandatory prior to each viewing of this throughly dated silly sci fi film.
