I think TDK is the most overrated one in the trilogy not Batman Begins. People give too much credits that movie than it earned with emotional reasons. I doubt it could get the same level attention if Heath Ledger would be still alive. I still think Batman Begins is better than the other two.
I watched Batman Begins and Dark Knight back-to-back a few weeks ago in preparation for Rises. If you ask me, the two films work so much better as a whole, which is very rare for films in a series, even Star Wars doesn't quite accomplish the same cohesiveness. In Begins we see the creation of Batman and his motivations, which is logically followed by him facing a villain (who arguably was created as a result of Batman’s existence) that he can’t defeat (an unstoppable force, Joker, and an immovable object, Batman). Very, very, very interested to see how Rises will fit into it all and conclude one of cinema's most ambitious trilogies.
I suppose too many people have forgotten about this one since The Dark Knight was so awesome. Make no mistake, Batman Begins is also an entertaining and overwhelmingly spectacular movie.
Great film, with a great message about fear and identity. This is no Dark Knight, but it made me appreciate the sequel even more, as a lot of stuff is set up here rather subtly.
The first of the new franchise, it tells the real origin of Batman beautifully, with some great performances from the supporting cast (especially Michael Caine as Alfred). The world of Batman made real for the first time.
It has a much different feel to it than the Dark Knight, and so did the Dark Knight Rises for that matter, which is interesting consdering how well the three work together.
This one has almost a mystery feel to it, whereas TDK is a crime thriller, and TDKR, a war movie.

My hot take is that the writing is wonky at certain points, especially the dialogue; in certain sections is the change in pace jarring.filmobile
It's a nice movie, but a little bit boring. But I like it and I have bought it!hyperform

Haven't watched it for a while, but really enjoyed it again. Good balance of action and drama. Good stuff, only a bit too long.Captain Qynce
