It's like watching a videogame.
Aliens land. The army is called out. War!

That's it. For two hours. Wow.

2 hours of shooting, explosions and shouting - and very little else. Boring as hell!

I always like to point out something good when it comes to a specific movie, but this one is really terrible...

Although I am happy to watch similar themed films, this was very predictable and some what boring. I would not watch this a second time.

I enjoyed it very much. A lot of action, bloodspatters all over the place. A US city blown to pieces, US soldiers being all heroic and ready to save the world, again.
Starting off by being confused and curious about the enemy. Not knowing what to expect.
Sadly the US is the onlyone able for finding the cure.
I would love to seen more movies like these (I really loved Battleship (2012)): The US vs Alien invaders.

There are many video games that have a better plot than this crap. They made a Call of Duty movie actually but the only difference is that the enemy is now aliens.

Was anybody else reminded of the Zoidberg autopsy when Eckhart kept stabbing all its internal organs and none of them seemed to do anything?

That was a weird scene anyway. You'd expect the revelation of the kill-spot to move the plot forward like in Night of the Living Dead, and other normal, non-forgettable movies, but Aaron Eckhart never tells anybody, and everyone continues to shoot the aliens in random spots.

Terrible. They managed to make an invasion boring, and the characters were just stale cannon fodder.

Totally agree with marlarkey.

The action is great and very entertaining. Not to mention how satisfying the special effects are.

But everything else just seems like they didn't even try. (for example, the best actor among all of them is a little kid)

If they had only stuck to the action it might have made a better and more coherent film...

But all the cheesy, sentimental, cliché interludes (while supposedly in the middle of a time-constrained battle) just spoilt what could have been a good action movie.

I really don't understand. It was so badly made, badly filmed, bad plot, bad acting. How is this in the TOPbox ?!
