In a way, it's awfulness makes it shine. A golden turd, the king of all turds, the god of shitty movies.

I've tried to re-watch this masterpiece a couple of times, a few years in between to let it fade in memory a bit, but I find myself unable to withstand the mental suffering it provokes. It is simply unbearable.
Brave users check it, a whopping 7 users favorited it. Insane.

I have a dream; if I ever meet John or Forest (yeah right, eh) I'm going to tell them with a straight face that "Battlefield Earth" is my favorite movie. (Same goes for Sean Connery and "Zardoz")

I've never seen so many Dutch Angles nor such a ridiculous overuse of colored filters. This movie should have been career ending for everyone involved, every shot is uninspired, the crew apparently gave up caring, the acting is brutal.

However, for what it's worth, this was enjoyable on a certain level. That is, if you like watching a train wreck.

Almost every scene is almost captivating in how bad it is from start to finish. I'm sort of fascinated with it, you can't help but want to analyze it. Because not a single scene passes without you having to ask "why?" I mean, it could be used as a masterclass for what not to do in film making.

I'm pretty sure this is just about the worst a movie could actually be without being "so bad it's hilarious." Absolute trainwreck from start to finish. Seriously not worth the watch.

I am very embarrassed by this movie, I took a friend to see it because he likes sci-fi films. Now he sees it as a flaw in my taste...
This must have been carefully crafted awfulness.
