Baywatch is not perfect, but, for a film intended it as a dumb comedy, it succeeds, for the most part, by leaps and bounds. What is so enjoyable despite the cookie cutter plot, silly characters and beauty-ogling is that it somehow manages to feel fun and fresh and (dare I say) clever in so many scenes. Its humour isn't always gut-bustingly funny but it is consistently smile-worthy.
Sure, there's lots to dislike. Sure, it's pointless, but it is pitch-perfect and keenly balanced between humour and faux-drama.
Not gonna lie, I did not wanted to see this film but lately after being a High School Musical fan about 10 years ago I started getting interested on Zac Efron's films.
This movie does have stupid jokes, unrealistic situations, unnecesary action scenes and other stuff pretty common on awful comedy movies ... but somehow, they made it work.
This movie is actually pretty enjoyable and it had a very attractive cast THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO ACT which is a bonus.
Comparable to Coming 2 America, but someway it succeeds in its intent. Openly ironic: lifeguards playing cops and Efron playing with a dick (that alone is worth the 18+ rating). Inexistent characters. Consciously stupid, therefore appreciable. NOT ENOUGH TITS. The penis amount, however, is on point.
This was at the back of a list of films to maybe watch. Surprisingly fun, my wife laughed a lot in the first half. Heard there was little female involvement, but it's a buddy movie and the antagonist was female add was the supporting cast. 5-6 noticeable CGI/green screen moments but the dialogue and plot worked.
Went to see it with the hope it would be such a dumb comedy I'd enjoy it, but sadly I didn't. Felt way too long and only had a few half laughs and could have been easier funnier. Above that, the acting was most of the time disturbingly bad. 2/5.
Layer upon layer of awfulness. I hope Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron are ASHAMED of themselves for appearing in such drivel!
I actually wish I could go back in time and make the decision not to watch it!!

Great movie to have a good and chill moment. Both girls (Alexandra Daddario and Kelly (couple times seen in 2&Half men) )are stunning and beautiful.boulderman
