Good movie, though I have seen better period movies about romantic couples ("Pride&Prejudice", "Atonement"...).
I really loved other elements of this film, so I believe whatever I'm missing probably is to blame on the script, but I still enjoyed the movie a lot.
The cast was wonderful, especially James McAvoy really blew me away in some scenes. The story is interesting and I like Jane Austen's novels. Some scenes were really heartbreaking, others funny... all in all: Not the best movie of the genre but definately worth watching. 10 years 1 month ago
