Yes, I have qualms with the ending...it seemed to have 4 different endings, should have ended sooner.TalkingElvish
Great film. Incredibly atmospheric and excitingly fetishistic for lovers of 70s horror and vintage audio equipment.Toby Jones's transformative performance is remarkable.CSSCHNEIDER
I quite liked this.hawkeyevigo
Not your conventional film, maybe not a classic but worth watching,in fact I think I'll watch it again.samoan
No idea why this is called a thriller or horror film, it isn't scary nor very suspenseful. Toby Jones does a great job in the movie but this film was more frustrating and boring to watch than anything else. Then it kinda just ends, lame, skip it, don't waste your time on this movie. If you want to see a good homage to Gallios then watch The Editor instead, much better film this mess.cm06mrs
Well that was brilliant.dombrewer
An excellent film both a love letter to old school movie making, and a nice satire of the whole Giallo genre. Mild mannered British sound engineer Gilderoy (Toby Jones, great as always) is hired to work on an Italian exploitation movie - and that nerve shredding work of repeatedly watching and creating the sounds of sadistic horrors sends his mind unravelling. Where the film begins to replicate and fold in upon itself in the last act some of the built up tension leaks away, but it never fails to be beautifully shot, and of course, sound engineered.FightaPilot
Good to see the Watkins Copi-Cat echo tape machine get the publicity it deserves!Manaf
It's like all the nightmares in the world compressed into 90 minutes.sammysin
Very interesting and impossible to nail in one sitting. It's a demo for audio and mindfuckery. I'd say the final act spoiled the film for me, but I really enjoyed the journey.
