really enjoyed this - granted, it has it's flaws - the first half felt disjointed and episodic but I really enjoyed the cinematography. Beautiful! However, it's painfully clear that much of the segment called Big Wednesday is also pieced together, but if you can ignore that and go for the spirit, it's a great, beautiful ride with a bit of fun in the story.
probably my second most favorite surfing movie after The Endless Summer (though can't remember how the sequels stacked up)
or maybe I just needed something different from what I've been watching as of late and view this a bit more favorably because of the stinkers
Well, I didn't like it, but it's much better than the arrogance of the similar crowd in Dogtown and z boys, the other surfer (Skateboard) movie on the guardian list
