Billy Liar is just one of the best films I've seen in some time. Tom Courtenay gives what has to be one of my favorite screen performances and Julie Christie is in less than ten minutes of the film and somehow completely steals it by being everything and more as the most desirable woman in any movie. She oozes intelligence and just captivates with her strength and confidence. Basically, Julie Christie plays herself better than anyone could. 8 years 8 months ago -

Tom Courtenay looks alot like Albert Finney.
Another top-notch Brit New Wave flick (or Kitchen-Sink drama)
And Julie Christie is the most stunning woman alive. Period. 3 years 7 months ago -

Well, that was bloody frustrating. I appreciate that that was the point, but I won't be watching it again. I will be checking out other films featuring Christie and Courtenay though. 8 years 3 months ago
