Based on a Japanese novel I just done ordered because I'm too curious, Bullet Train is a wild and entertaining ride about a Tokyo-Kyoto train with various assassins pit against one another (and now I'm trying to hack the Tokaido board game to make the game's trip less relaxing). Brad Pitt plays the lead operative, a burnout trying to apply what he learned in therapy to the situation, but talking about the cast any more than that would be a spoiler. In fact, i recommend not checking out a cast list since finding out who's in it is part of the fun. Director David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde) uses the novel's structure efficiently, creating little movies within the movie, without losing the film's "high-octane Agatha Christie" momentum, and stages a number of fun close-quarters battles inside the train. This is a cool, stylish, neon-drenched, neatly soundtracked action comedy filled with memorable characters and moments, and I don't know why a subset of cinephilia hated it. Me? It's totally my jam, and I'm gonna read the s#!& out of the novel when it gets here.
Clearly you've never heard of Agent 47 then :P And also, seriously, how would you know what they wear? They could go out in a tutu with flip flops for all you know.
For me personally I enjoyed the movie for exactly what it was. Interesting story with some funny bits thrown in and some decently done fight choreography. High end action movie? Maybe not, but it was a fun watch and I'll watch it again eventually for sure.
Did not know it was based on a book however like another mentioned. I wonder if the book is worth a read.
+ You can watch the entire movie without stopping smiling, funny moments happen all the time
+ The movie has it's own style
+ Brad Pitt
+ Good fighting scenes, train action
+ Some surprises with characters
- If it looks like an action movie and talks like an action movie, it is an action movie; don't search deeper story in it
a bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto takes around 140mins, including stops. The train in this movie seems to take all night. Aside from that it was pretty good

Loved every second! All the characterd are vuilt up and the threads all connect seamlessly. 5* humour and very innovativeBoei
Definetly imperfect. But totally enjoyable. And how many truly enjoyable films do you see these days…ryano1076

Great cast is wasted in this overlong, dated Tarentino wanna be comic book movie. Has some fun moments but overall rather forgettable.xianjiro
