Impressionistic and atmospheric, yet ultimately nonsensical all wrapped around a thin story. It's all unsettling weirdness with very little substance to back it up. It also relies on the old horror-film standard of a stupid main character with no survival instincts.

I think the story writer tries too hard to be weird and that kind of takes away what this movie could have been. There is not much character development and pretty much a non-existent/bad plot. Too many scenes that are just poor attempts and the movie doesn't come off as scary at all but more of a bore. So sadly it had potential but they tried too hard to be weird and failed for me. However, there are disturbing scenes nonetheless and even though I am a fan of these types of movies, this was just a terrible attempt.

Snow and fog play an important role in revealing the surreal setting of the film.

Much like Sheitan, this movie is one that escalates suddenly and dramatically. Worth a watch, but it is very unnerving.

'Misery' meets 'Psycho'.. with a touch of 'The Collector'.. and nowhere near as good as any of them..

A bit more depressing and it would have been pretty great.
