Some real laugh out loud moments.

Definitely captures Spanish culture and it's treatment of the disabled.

If you're not Spanish some bits might go over your head, but overall still worth a watch.

Not Oscar worthy though*

Spain's entry to the 2019 Oscar to the Best Foreign Language competition is almost a masterpiece.

It deals brilliantly and respectfully with a very difficult and contemporary, yet underrepresented topic; Mental Disability

Its main achievement is to present the characters exactly as they are: Wierdos. You might like them more or less, but the film gives them the visability they need.

Lots of jokes and funny situations depicted with such talent and class that no one can feel offended.

My only cavil is that it's a bit predictable, but it's a minor sin that can be easily forgot with such an engaging movie.

Finally, I'd like to highlight the importance of the two messages that are cristal clear without being unnecesarily lecturing.

Don't miss it!
