Beautiful remake of Seong Chunhyang from 1961. Liked the original better without the chanting storyteller.

Great movie, but you have to get used to the pan-suri singing in the background and describing the scenes.

The visuals in the film were nice. The descriptive singing I just muted and read the subtitles. I never got why Mongryong never contacted Chunhyang for three years. Maybe I missed the reasoning.
