I kind of liked the twist on the genre and it was entertaining, but the characters were so irrational and continually made such ridiculous decisions that it was hard to take seriously. If it had a sense of humour (along the lines of Teeth), it would've worked much better as a 'stupid characters representing the vanity and self-obsessiveness of these types of people', which just doesn't work with the serious tone of the film and a not-very-good script.
Felt like I was looking at a movie written and produced by 13 year old high schoolers who just happened to have an expensive camera?? In which case good job but since I'm assuming the people who made this are actual adults I can honestly say that this is the worst movie I've ever seen in my life.
Original plot with solid momentum to carry you to the end. There were a few lines that came out awkward, yes, but remember these are no-name brand actors. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Most zombie movies are about the unlucky survivors mowing down hundreds of brain dead meat sacks, eventually being overcome in a lost cause. This movie had the courage to do something different. Focusing on a person's slow and torturous transition from being a near perfect specimen to a blood thirsty walking corpse. If you pay enough attention you will see that there are some statements about human nature and how much importance we put on our appearance and societal expectations, rather than our own well being.
