It's amazing how people's opinions differ on this film. I personally, find it entertaining, but certainly not worthy of Best Picture.

I agree. I do hate the word pretentious. It's usually used because people doesn't like a film that tries to be different, but this truly is pretentious. It takes itself way too seriously and doesn't even realize how contrived and silly some of the material is.

An excellent ensemble cast in a study of racial prejudice. Yes, the set-up is a little strained, but the points made are never dull and the characters at once engaging and repulsive.

Im quiet sure this movie its gonna give a positive impact on people that has been discriminated like they show in here, and to people that discriminate like this and can actually question themself for their acts. Or people that have seen situation like this and feel that this movie it's gonna help reducing this issue

In my case, It's totally the opposite. For me it was full of "cliche" and showed me that the american society really has a big big issue to resolve.

The movie is totally overrated, it doesn't keep anything to the imagination, or puzzle to resolve, it's mostly plain text and discrimination images from different perspectives
The only positive thing it's that, showing you many scenarios, probably many people actually can start question their acts. It's a movie that to many people it's gonna make them feel inconsistent and hope that is going to make them change.

I think the movie was great but the song and music were awesome.the music has a character for itself.

The Doctor

A fascinating study of a few ethnic groups in LA, and how in the course of several days, our perceptions of them are turned on their heads. It's a good film about race in our culture, but not the best one I've seen, that film would be Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing.'
