I think this one should appear in some list of this site.
The concept of the movie is really cool, all the anger and revenge involved should give a good plot, but for some reasons the story loses itself. Still a good movie though
The first half was simply irritating, you know, that conception of the revolutionary as a middle class, naïve teenager angry with their parents who eventually either grows up or dies a teenager. I'm not sure if that's what people liked that much from the film, but it's not hard to note that's just an ugly, overused cliché, even though the director's intention were somehow honest, or else. The second half was, in my opinion, fairly unexpected given the boring formula of the beginning, thus way more enjoyable. Cheesy and predictable ending, but nothing incoherent, at least.
I really expected the worst: idealistic teenagers changing the world individually by telling everyone else who has actual resposibilities they're sheeps, but it had that something else. Films like Battle in Seattle, although plain liberal, work the representation of activism in cinema much more seriously than this one.
Indeed refreshing when the most popular films out there are just yankee propaganda, but no way a masterpiece, as a lot of people would say, though.
