I s2g I'm not usually a stickler for accuracy, but even with my limited grasp of law I know that this is not how double jeopardy works and I'm surprised the writers either didn't realize how wrong they were/didn't care.They could have easily changed the name and removed anything related to the double jeopardy clause and ended up with the same film.
