I remember seeing this when I was younger, crying my eyes out at the end of it. Lovely film! Warm, funny and sweet.
(And don't listen to people like Diego, who can't even manage to group words together as a sentence - they're bound to have no taste and no ability to understand good film.) 12 years 8 months ago -

My one word review of DragonHeart would be "Unconvincing". Sure, that applies to the 90s CG dragon, even if the production manages a number of good interaction gags with the live action. It's rather like they grabbed a cartoon monster from How to Train Your Dragon and slipped it in. But that's the era, and not entirely the film's fault (except in ambition), it's not what I really mean. I mean the bad wigs, the worse accents used by the American stars, and a number of plot elements (like, do all dragons have Sean Connery's voice, and if not, why can't Dennis Quaid make the connection?). More than anything though, it's that the film doesn't really have control over its tone. Sometimes it's meant as dead sincere Arthuriana, most of the time it's light, slapstick action with comedy kills etc., unless it's not and then it's just violent Medieval stuff. But it's still watchable, has a stellar cast (especially the British contingent), and its cheesy ending should warm the heart at least a little bit. 2 years ago -
