Generally not a fan of biopics - especially if they treat the stations of the subjects life. This one was pretty decent though - probably at least in part due to them *not* going through his life chronologically but more focusing on the feeling, the atmosphere of "the clan" and Fassbinders ever-changing romances.
It's a coke-fueled trip. The maniac energy (paired with the constant yelling and egomaniac explosions) left me completely exhausted by the end.
The movie doesn't bring much new to the table (neither as a movie nor about Fassbinder) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. 3 years ago
