The Fable Muncher

Did it need to be almost three hours long? No. Nonetheless, you won't experience any other film quite like this one, and that alone is enough to recommend it.

A fascinating and captivating tale about life after death set in the hyper romanticized city of Tokyo.

The most original film I've seen, It's long and a bit tedious but very fresh. I would totally recommend it

The first 30 minutes of ETV caused me to have a mini panic attack. I honestly had to pause it and regain control of my breathing before continuing. 8.5/10

Long, suspenseless, repetitive, tedious... It's just not for me.

Thought it was pretty neat, but everything that focused on the actual plot to be pretty dull. I actually think it would have been a better film if it had been PURELY experimental.

Hell yeah, the biggest trip of a movie ever made. What a mindfuck. Instant entry to iCM's most favorites - without appearing on any list :)

Not that I didn't "enjoy" it, I just needed two sittings to finish it.

Certainly unique, but very flawed.

I also think it could have been cut and made more relatable, in doing so though, it would lose a certain charm that makes every story (read: life, in the context of the movie) different but unique.

Though it is quite unique, it was one of the "hard to watch movies" for me.
