Interesting camera work and pretty good acting all around, however the violence does start to be come more of the same after a while. Its turns into one of those movies where all the bad guys might as well line up for the good guy to shot one after another. The good guy never misses a shot and the bad guys never land a punch. Combine that with some stereotypical action movie tropes like the sad backstory and the betrayal, it there isnt much new to explore here. It's not terrible, but i cant really recommend this over certain other action movies.

5/10

This film had some super unique shots in it. Shoutout to the cameramen, some of those shots looked difficult!! A lot of scenes used panning instead of cutting which made the story feel more real, as opposed to movie like. Some scenes also felt like a video game, loved it. Story was typical but Chris is <3

Some decent action scenes but a fairly rubbish movie overall.

Basically a poor man's John Wick.

It's like a mix of Jason Bourne and John Wick, but without a good story.

Action was ok but not great.

Storyline was poor and paper thin.

Another Netflix miss.

Is it the best action movie made by Netflix?

"Extraction" movie is an action movie based on a comic called Ciudad, which is a Spanish word means city.

The story of the movie is about a mercenary who is recruited to rescue a boy who was kidnapped by a very dangerous gang. I saw the advertisement for this movie and said it might be vulgar. You have seen many great action scenes with many explosions, guns and pursuits. Yes, it is a strong movie in terms of performance.

The world surrounding the movie is a poor, cruel, and frightening world that was shown. You see most of the scenes of the film were filmed in the slums of Bangladesh, and some in certain areas in India. It was depicted as a gloomy world with a lot of crime and corruption. The director manages to bring out this world shockingly.

Director Sam Hargrave has a background in action and law, and I have seen similar films directed in this way. The director understands action scenes and knows how to build a powerful moment and hold the viewer's breath in it.

There are some scenes that contributed to the decrease in the evaluation of people. I wanted to explain or explain more about some situations, so that the people's actions would be more logical to the viewer. There were many scenes that were not deep, and some scenes that contained poor and superficial effects and devoid of depth of meanings, such as the movement of smoke.

Chris Hemsworth is an action star, an actual action hero, a powerful action hero, and he carried the film on his shoulders, but he did as the director told him. The director didn't want to expand the deep action scenes. I do not deny that if the shots or the frame were wider and deeper than this, if the cameras used in filming the scenes were farther away, or their movement or vibration while filming the scenes were less than this, these scenes would have become clearer and more impressive.

All though Extraction - which had Chris Hemsworth trying to recover the guileless teenage son of an Indian drug lord from a BENGLADESHI drug lord - I thought, this really feels like it was written with South America in mind. Come to realize at the end that the movie is adapted from the graphic novel Ciudad, so yeah, it was. But I do appreciate the change of venue, as it's one of the things that helps distinguish Extraction from the pack. It's certainly not its essential plot, nor even, at this point, its style of action. Because it's definitely inspired by John Wick, or perhaps more directly, Atomic Blonde (another graphic novel that the director, Sam Hargrave, worked on as stunt supervisor - he also did a bunch of Marvel films, so he's got the action cred). One particular sequence with no obvious cuts is pretty masterful, but as a whole corrupt city starts to grind down on Hemsworth and his young charge, it gets progressively less interesting, I fear. Extraction is action-driven almost to the point of proceduralism, which isn't to say the characters are cardboard figures, not at all, and in fact, this may be Hemsworth's most dramatic role in terms of what he has to show on screen, but it's also so linear that it's hard to do more than glance at more artful elements, like the transference between him and the kid. The unsung star here is Golshifteh Farahani as his mission ops controller. I wanted to see more of her.

Liked it better than expected. Has zero story or character developemnt and is made in the mold of the John Wick movies……..but the movie offers some good action scenes and ingenious camara work.
