Wow... so much hate in these comments/reviews. Not baseball lovers? Maybe because I'm a middle-aged man is why I love this movie so much. It's not just about baseball, it's about second-chances and blind faith (although, i'm not religious). The music is beautiful, great performances (compare this performance by Costner to Bull Durham, which he filmed right before this), a fantastic speech about baseball by an iconic voice, James Earl Jones. And yes, I cry at the end, every single time. 5 years 12 months ago
