Not the worst re-make I've ever seen as they gave it a new angle so it's a different take instead of being the same movie re-hashed.
What this films fails to do is capture the eerie atmosphere of the first one or the intenseness of the experience of flatlining.
James Norton as a rich American does not work. Maybe if I hadn't seem him first play a 1930s Vicar in Rural England I might believe it more.
Nina Dobrev was just Elena Gilbert complete with same hairstyle and a scene that could have been stolen directly from The Vampire Diaries.
Kiersey Clemons, needs to go back to drama school and should never have been cast! Yikes!
Kiefer Sutherlands appearance just distracts as you're never really sure if he is playing Nelson Wright still. (He isn't so why bother being in it???)
Not bad but was a re-make really necessary when the original is quite rightly a cult classic.
