This movie most certainly does not pass the Bechdel test.
However, it's a fun, action-packed adventure with a very inventive premise and even better design - though it lacks substance in many ways (and the romance subplot is just deplorable), the CGI really is quite incredible, and the various monsters are wonderful. Excellent gore as well. Even though it plays into far too many clichés, it has some very redeeming points.
(For the record, I watched the US English dub version - voice acting is not great. Yikes.)
