I didn't expect much but this wasn't even for a 7 on Imdb. I think Kidman tries really hard to portray Kelly but I didn't get the feeling I was "watching Kelly". All I got was Kidman with two face expressions: sad and concerned. And what was with all the Kidman close ups and it sure was unpleasant.
The scenery is beautiful, the cinematography is beautiful, most of the actors are good but Kidman (and the way she talks - I'm not even mentioning her Australian accent) just spoils the movie for me.
The movie did raise a question: was Grace Kelly really that insecure and had low self esteem? Did she really have to learn facial expressions? How come was she praised as an actress then if she couldn't act? 7 years 10 months ago
